These are the reflection questions for my final task

 

 

This is the final project for this class.

Today is the last day for and final touches on the film. All of the titles have been finalized and the video is being prepared to be uploaded to YouTube. Editing had to be quickly finished so that music and other things could be officially added. The video flows perfectly and all of the scenes came out correctly which is a huge achievement. A lot of work was put into this film and was worked on as a team. This was a very fun project to work on with fellow classmates.

The date for the final project is getting closer and the project is almost done. There’s still a bunch of editing that needs to be done. It’s kind of a crunch time because video editing software was not available over spring break so it led to a lot of work being pushed back. Even though a week is a short amount of time to edit a major project everything else is in order so it’d make it easier for how many tasks there are left. The overall project is coming along nicely and everything is falling into place as it should.

Not much has been done since recording was finished. All that has been done is re looking over the video clips for the film to make sure that all the necessary scenes were taken. Since there is going to be very little time before the project is due, it has been talked about that editing over break is necessary so that when school starts up again we will already be ahead of the schedule. As for time I feel like there is a lot of time left for extra fixing if there are problems with the footage. However there are still minor things that need to be decided in order for us to be done completely such as the company name and the title screen. But we will have time to discuss these things and plan more for it over the break.

Sunday was the last and final day for filming that was left to finish before spring break starts. There was only a few scenes that were left to be done since daylight ran out the last filming session. After the list that was given in class for the shots that were necessary it was quickly done. The only main focus now is the editing process after break is over which is another tedious thing that has to be be done. The final project is due soon so the work ethic is now in high power mode to ensure success. Everything has come along very nicely over the course of filming so it is expected that the film shows the work and effort that was put into it.

Today it was decided that filming absolutely needed to be done this weekend since some of the footage isn’t the best. There are certain requirements that weren’t met either that still needs to be done. It’s gonna get done in the same location as last time so that the film doesn’t look weird or choppy. This is kind of a crunch because there is very little time left before the project has to be done. By this weekend the group and I are hoping to be finished and focused on the editing of the footage.

This weekend filming was very hectic and unorganized. The filming was done at a friends house that I was unfamiliar with. The setting that was planned for the movie didn’t look at all similar to what was planned in the storyboard. The room was incredibly cramped and hardly had enough room to fit two people. Not to mention that the actual project didn’t start until an hour later after everyone had arrived. It was very annoying not having everything together before everyone arrived and the main actor was also becoming annoyed with the poor planning. After like 3 1/2 hours of filming it was finally finished and everyone was happy because of the amount of time it took. Next time hopefully if more recording is needed, it will be more organized.

So far nothing has really progressed since my last blog. The plan for this weekend on Saturday is that the filming process officially begins and all of the people who are going to film are meeting up as well. It’s the first time that I and a few other group mates will be meeting the supposed star of the film. Since I haven’t met them, Saturday is a day to make good first impressions because it will be a lot more enjoyable filming with people who are in the project as well. After looking at my schedule for the Ball person program I had signed up for, I saw that training that I thought might interfere with filming actually doesn’t mix at all so that means that I’m available to film.

Our filming schedule so far is getting pushed back a lot more than we would like it to be considering we need to begin filming really soon so that we don’t get behind. We were not able to film last weekend because the star of the show was not able to film last weekend but can film this upcoming weekend. However I won’t be able to make it because I was accepted to a program that I applied to and they have training for two days on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. We are trying to see if we can work around me not being present so that we can start regardless and we’re not left rushing to finish near the end of the project. Right now my group is kind of in high stress mode because we feel like there is very little time left to film already. We’re also still working out the specifics of what we can and still can’t do.
